MILAN, Jun 27, 2012/ — Moncler Gamme Bleu reflects the synergy of Moncler’s expertise in active sportswear and outerwear with the hand-made tailoring sensibility of Thom Browne.
For Spring/Summer 2013, the concept centers around the sport of sailing. Sailing gear inspired jackets with sailor collars flaps and trousers that flare from the knee are some of the new silhouettes.
Classic tailored pieces: suits, sport coats, Chesterfield coat, trench, capes, cardigan, polo shirts, trousers and shorts, all with details often used in sailing and nautical gear such as taped seams and spinnaker inspired details.
A full-collection, divided in three inspiration groups including outerwear, trousers, shorts, jackets, shirts and accessories: all white group; red, white and blue group and a black tie, formal group with a bit of “rain slicker” yellow.
Fabrics and detailing: cotton Gingham and Prince of Wales, lightweight summer wool, Oxford cloth, cotton piquet, cotton jersey, lightweight cashmere as well as technical fabrics such as reflective fabric, light Cordura, nylon ripstop, technical wool fabrics, some with Moncler Gamme Bleu nautical printsand embroidery. Accessories: boat shoes in nabuck and fabric, espadrille penny loafers and sailing hats.
