Double Fantasy – named after the John Lennon album of the same title is the most sophisticated  collection for the former Project Runway winner.  Inspired by poet Diane di Prima’s “Recollections of My Life as a Woman: The New York Years,” the collection mixes urban, ladylike classics with a touch of modern bohemian romanticism.  Draped silhouettes, as well as variations in structure and volume will appeal to the downtown girl with uptown sensibilities, while Gretchen’s southwestern roots are emphasized in print and texture.  Most notably, Jones collaborated with fine artist [and Guggenheim Fellow] Rosalyn Bodycomb by creating custom textiles based off of a series of  water paintings titled Evidentia.  Gretchen Jones is produced domestically and aligned with Save the Garment Center, an NYC-based organization that supports local craftspeople and ethical business practices.  In addition, Gretchen custom prints are all digitally printed to reduce water waste.  For more information, please visit www.gretchenjonesnyc.com.
