Three FIT Fashion Design students specializing in intimate apparel have won the 2013 Femmy Awards Student Design Contest. The competition called for FIT students to create original and innovative intimate apparel designs based on a floral theme.

First place winner Tiffany Spagnuolo from Hawthorne, NY, received a $5,000 scholarship for her “Dark Bloom” design. Second place winner Tessa Saccone from Massapequa Park, NY, won a $4,000 scholarship for “Moonlit Azaleas,” and third place winner Sara Shanahan from Atlanta, GA, won a $3,000 scholarship for “Nocturnal Blossom.”  The three other finalists –  Alina Kulik, Judy Yang, and Erin Brennan, who created “Wilting Dream,” “Midnight Petals,” and “Fleur de Reve” respectively – each received $1,000.
