NEW YORK, NY September 25, 2016

Anticipating the runway this season, Libertine kept us all on our toes. With a hot pink dress stating “Libertine, Chic As Hell” we all knew we were in for a treat. Beaded, sequin and rhinestone embellishments were added to almost every piece. Iconic figures (including the Queen of England) on pants, jackets and sweaters contributed to the excitement of the show.

But that’s not all. The models were also sporting mod hair, makeup which featured a bold cat eye and fur trimmed heels. It was becoming obvious that British punk was a prevalent theme throughout the Spring 2017 collection. Printed tights and neon fabrics were a few of my favorite things this season. A leather bomber complete with a bright leopard print sleeve was another piece that caught my eye. A full British flag suit with gold detail was another head turner. Overall, the show was full of loud statement pieces (yes, every look) but that’s what makes this show unique from the others. I continue to love attending Libertine each season.
