BARCELONA, August 4, 2008 /FR/ — After having announced in a press conference that 30 designers would take part in the second edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, coordinated and promoted by Catalonia’s Regional government -Generalitat de Catalunya- with the help of the City of Barcelona and sponsored, among other companies, by Volkswagen, the precise schedule was issued today for the event taking place from september 3rd to 5th included.
It is to be noted that 080 Barcelona Fashion will this time be launching the Spring-Summer 2009 season on the international runways, as it is scheduled just ahead of New York Fashion Week. This decision was a choice, explained in the July press conference Emili Valdero, spokesperson for Generalitat de Catalunya, as the other major fashion event in Spain, the Pasarela Cibeles is taking place, as usual, after Paris Fashion Week, in october, in Madrid.
