DALLAS, Dec 8, 2009 / FR/ — And kiss those “plain Jane” skirts good-bye! For the up-coming spring 2010 collection designers represented at this year’s New York Fashion Week with extraordinary skirt styles, colors, patterns and construction.

The looks included fuller skirts with shorter lengths such as the ballerina and the puckered skirt, slightly pleated skirts, skirts with other fabrics incorporated into the skirt such as sheer and leather, and purposely threadbare and constructed skirts.

Designers such as: Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Derek_Lam and Cynthis_Steffe to name a few displayed a variety of skirts sure to bring attention this spring. Many of the skirts were high-waist, or could be work with a blouse, tank, or camisole tucked in. The skirts can be paired with tights/leggings and dressed up in the hottest sandals, heels and pumps, or down in a pair of cute flip-flops or the popular gladiator sandals. The skirts this upcoming season accentuate the waist giving shape, and the legs slimming and elongating them.
