G Star Fashion

LONDON, Jul 13, 2011/ — When it comes to denim, most of us just think that jeans are all there is. After all, who can’t say that they don’t own a few pairs of very similar looking jeans that we continue to buy time after time. That said, why shouldn’t we, if we know what we like and what fits and flatters?

But denim isn’t just about jeans; it can be worn in a huge number of ways that don’t just involve trousers and a t-shirt.

This summer we’re seeing a lot more denim on the high street and online. Denim dresses are set to be huge, with pale, washed out colours and pretty ruffles being the main features. We’re also seeing tiered skirts and fifties style flared skirts, helping to add a very feminine twist to denim.

Dungarees are also something else that we are seeing, continuing the trend of all-in-one outfits such as jumpsuits and playsuits, which are set to be big trends this summer. Although thoughts of you wearing them when you were a child may well put you off, it’s not all bad 90s fashion, this summer they have been given a makeover. Sharp tailoring and cinched in waists help to make this a great everyday look, and shorter versions are set to rival the playsuits and floaty summer dresses that are everywhere right now.

But if you fancy doing something a little different with denim then take a look at some of the experts. G Star is one brand that definitely knows how to experiment with denim, not just sticking to the usual jeans. Their catwalks are packed with different styles; from dresses to jumpsuits and tough tailored jackets and short, chino style trousers. It’s not just good old blue denim either, this season watch out for bright, light whites and moody, rebellious blacks.
