ANDREA LLOSA ANSWERS FASHIONREPORTERS’ SEVEN QUESTIONS INTERVIEW
BARCELONA August, 15, 2008 – Taking part for the first time in an « international » fashion week, namely 080 Barcelona Fashion in early september, Andrea Llosa is a newcomer in the world of fashion designers, Born in 1979 in Peru, where she has studied at the University of Lima, Andrea has decided later to embrace fashion in her career and has trained at the Superior School of Design and Fashion Felicidad Duce in Barcelona (Spain).
Graduated in 2007, she was then selected among the designers to take part in the Bressol Project, an important part of the dynamic politics led by Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonia’s regional governing body) to help young designers emerge. This is also how she was selected to take part in 080 barcelona Fashion as three designers coming from the Bressol Project have been chosen to show their collection for Spring 2009 on the catwalk in an individual runway show.
We have asked Andrea Lllosa these questions, just before she was about to take a short holiday. Short indeed, as her runway show will take place on September 4 inside Pavillion 8 of Fira Barcelona at 05:00 pm. Good luck, Andrea, thanks for answering us !
What is fashion for?
For me fashion is a means of communication. Be it as a designer or as a person wearing clothes , I am always defining fashion as a way of expressing myself.
If you were not a fashion designer, what would you be?
I would work in he field of marketing, since I have a degree in company management. I passed it before I chose to study fashion. I have worked in this field for two years and I like it very much.
What are you proud of?
Of having gone through a complete change in my career, after having played a determined role for eight years, in a field which had nothing to do with fashion. Although I was looking forward to finding occupation that would make me happier, I had to face the risk of leaving what I knew to follow a track more filled with illusions.
What are you ashamed of ?
Of going to some beach in the nude…
If you could keep just one garment or accessory, which one would you pick?
A hat for winter.
What do you no longer believe in?
In politics.
What do you still believe in?
In angels.
