Activist Eyewear and Alfred Julius Bowties released their collaborative Bowtie & Handkerchief collection last week, at Tina Catherine Eyewear & Opticians Boutique on Wednesday Night. The event highlighted the release of a hunter green bowtie and matching microfiber handkerchief box set, as well as showcasing pieces from each designer’s individual collections.
The Bowtie is constructed using genuine nylon ripstop to withstand tearing and harsh conditions and adorned with a decorative rivet in antique bronze.
The Microfiber Handkerchief is tailored from heavyweight microfiber so it’s right at home in your breast pocket and perfect for cleaning lenses on your Activist sunglasses. Both materials are extremely quick drying.
The matching Bowtie & Handkerchief Set is packaged in a waxed canvas carrying case with a recycled paper band that includes a brief description of the collaboration and a unique hand stamped serial number. Produced in an extremely limited edition of 50 pieces worldwide.
The launch event marked the first showing of Alfred Julius. “It was truly a dream come true for the Alfred Julius team; To finally have the opportunity to present the quality and personality of the Alfred Julius lifestyle, for all to absorb. Matching with Acvtivist Eyewear was a very organic and positive experience. Hopefully this is only the beginning for our collaborative efforts,” says Alfred Julius Creative Director, Chike Atu.
