“Higher cheekbones, lower nose bridges alongside other ethic features conspire to make conventional eyewear impossible and uncomfortable to wear for Asians and other people of color.” ALEXANDRA PENG
Alexandra Peng has spent more than 15 years designing eyewear for other global brands. Understanding the specific needs of her Asian clients as well as having decerned the lack of attention to those issues within the greater community; in 2009, she started TC CHARTON. The first North American brand that focuses solely on making distinctive, and beautiful eyewear for the Asian community. FASHIONREPORTERS must state that the issues that Ms. Peng addresses for the Asian community translates beyond just that point. She has addressed issues that are problematic to the greater community of people of color.
Ms. Peng gets her inspiration by studying Asian features everywhere she goes. Each style is designed to fit certain Asian characteristics. Each style frame is named after its muse and is custom made. Her beautiful and elegant eyewear is a must have for all fashionistas’ of color having a difficult time finding that perfect fit.
