HERVE LEGER by MAX AZRIA A/W 2012/13

NYC  February 28, 2012

The design house’s show was a unique and unforgettable take on ancient Roman trends.Pleated skirts were a recurring element. Black, grey, nude, and white featured prominently. Minimal yet futuristic, the leather harnesses fitted atop nearly every bandage dress added a badass yet glam touch. Pieces were perforated and cut in all the right places, showing off just enough skin to remain ladylike. The models’ slick ponytails and fresh faces drew all eyes to their waistlines, which were clearly meant to be the center of attention. Ladies, we might soon be leaving our old waist-cinching belts in the dust in favor of curve hugging dresses and harnesses. One thing’s for certain: this show wasn’t for the style-shy.
