Orlebar Brown’s Photorealistic Swimsuit

Kauai Hawaii May 24, 2012

It was after a revelatory poolside moment while on vacation with friends that the photographer Adam Brown decided to take the plunge and start a line of tailored swimsuits called Orlebar Brown. The sleek suits, a riff on classic tennis shorts, have rapidly become the beach attire of choice among aesthetically minded men who prefer flattering, trimmer trunks over the usual baggy, calf-grazing surf jams. To commemorate the company’s fifth anniversary, Orlebar Brown is introducing a collection of swim shorts all printed with iconic, summer-centric pictures culled from the archives of the Getty Images Collection. Trunks like this pair, the popular Bulldog style printed with an image by Slim Aarons, will be released in monthly editions starting on May 24. Say surf!
